I wanted to inform you of my resignation from my position as Technology Facilitator effective at the end of the 2010-11 school year. I am leaving to pursue new opportunities in the field of education.
I would like to thank you for your support during my time at Berthoud Elementary School. I have learned so much about education, technology and interpersonal relationships during my time at BES. These will be very valuable skills going forward in my career. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn with you.
In particular, I wanted to thank Camilla, Cara, Diane, Joyce, and Debbie for the time they invested in mentoring me. Also, Steve has been an incredibly patient teacher and tutor in the ways of the Mac, and Dortha a wonderfully caring and compassionate “next-door-neighbor”. Our office staff at BES has been an incredible team that are a joy to work with. At the District level, I have been encouraged and inspired by Diane Lauer, Val Downing, Shelley Amicone, and Kellie Bashor.
I am looking forward to next year, and believe these new opportunities are a perfect fit for my skill set and educational philosophy. I will do my utmost to facilitate the smooth transfer of duties to my replacement over the coming months.
These new opportunities? Well, that is an exciting development for another post! I have several options, and am still unsure which path I will take. Some paths are a little less travelled, and one in particular feels right now like it would be walking through a thicket, but all of them are stellar possibilities. The future is bright.
